NUNC Capital builds, acquires, and grows companies. We focus on groundbreaking defense and dual-use technologies. We do this independently and with a strategic horizon. Since 2013, our international portfolio of companies has been growing. Every company in it deserves to operate safely, in an IT environment that keeps pace with tomorrow's ambitions and risks.
As IT Security Lead, you are responsible for the security and resilience of NUNC and all our portfolio companies. You won't be taking over an existing role, instead, you'll build and strengthen our security function from a position with a lot of freedom and responsibility. You'll work directly with our Tech Program Manager, our external IT partners, and the IT contacts at each portfolio company.
What will you do? You have deep, up-to-date knowledge of the Microsoft security landscape and genuinely keep your market knowledge current. It's a plus if you can read and understand code, and test configurations yourself. Ensuring our security is fully in order at all times is simply non-negotiable for you.
You work in a project-based way: you implement and set up new tools and processes, always with an eye on efficiency and reducing dependency on external costs. We have an external partner for day-to-day support and management of our environment, but for new initiatives and strategic decisions, you're the one who drives this internally.
Specifically, you will be working on:
Ownership of and continuous development of our Microsoft security stack and strategy
Advising on and implementing security controls for applications and infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft & Windows
Designing, implementing, and optimizing security strategies
Conducting and supporting information security risk analyses, including assessments of third parties regarding security and data privacy
Identifying security gaps, translating risks into concrete technical solutions, and supporting their resolution
Assessing and improving the effectiveness of technical and organizational security measures
Advising teams on secure design principles, application integrity, and best practices within modern security architectures
Running security and IT projects end-to-end, from scoping to implementation, with cost efficiency as a starting point
Acting as a credible, technically knowledgeable conversation partner for senior developers and other MSPs, translating complex technical input into clear next steps
Driving the continuous improvement process for ISO 27001 and leading the rollout of ABRO per project, providing security expertise currently lacking at the OpCo level
Setting up proper data governance and documentation labeling (for example via Microsoft Purview), including the security dimension
Contributing to innovation and new security propositions, including our approach to AI, with an eye toward a better user experience
Your profile
You make a difference with a strong, confident personality: you hold your own with demanding technical stakeholders and OpCos with outspoken opinions. You're analytically strong and quickly get to the core of things, even with complex technical issues. You also have a proactive, forward-thinking mindset when it comes to security, and increasingly when it comes to AI as well. You're a credible conversation partner for senior developers and other MSPs, and you translate complex technical input into clear next steps with ease. You take initiative, work in a structured, project-based way, and feel comfortable in a role with a lot of responsibility and many stakeholders. You always keep cost efficiency sharply in view.
Requirements
In-depth, practical knowledge of Microsoft security tooling (e.g., Defender, Entra ID, Purview, Intune, Sentinel)

Fluent in both Dutch and English
Nice-to-haves
Ability to read code yourself and test configurations
